Firstly this rumour started from a newspaper (Not the best source is it) Rolling Eyes
Then channel 4 say they have no plans to bring back the show.
So why on earth are we still talking about it,
I'm not having a go at anyone but this thread is absolutly pointless.
Just face it its not coming back.

Hello Thread Police.

If you don't like or agree with the discussion; if you resent it that much, don't look at or join in with this thread.

Simple, really.

Just to add to this, I've heard various people say that Channel 4 have denied plans to bring the show back but haven't seen any sources actually confirming this. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but the last news I can find anywhere online are rehashed write-ups of the original Mirror story which implies that ITN own the rights and are hoping to bring the show back on Channel 4 or Channel 5.

Given this, even if Channel 4 HAVE denied that they want to bring it back, it could still be pitched to Channel 5. The news was also reported by ITN themselves (see http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xo6c7y_the-big-breakfast-set-to-return_news) which IMO is what gives the story the highest credibility so far.

I'm not saying that it will definitely coming back, or that this rumour is even based in truth, but I would strongly argue that this thread is far from pointless - all the rumours so far point very strongly otherwise.

That ITN report is pretty dire...breathless voiceover relating nothing new over the titles nicked from You Tube. "Features are all set to return"...despite absolutely nothing being confirmed about the show's content, let alone whether it's actually coming back.

I will not be joining in with this discussion until it is confirmed that TBB will return.
But everyone please do carry on writing your delusive lists of presenters who you and only you belive would want to present TBB if it returns.

It was in The Sun towards the middle of last week in TV Biz, but can't see anything online.

I think it's only a non-starter as a story if C5 also say they're not interested. I know someone at ITN who says this proposed show was always meant for C5 not C4

Sounds like it's to do with Sky then.

Of course it might not be called 'The Big Breakfast' or even have anything to do with the old programme/it's broadcaster/production company. We shall see tomorrow

I note that Ofcom received 1 complaint about The Big Breakfast last month. There are no details on the nature of the complaint and it wasn't upheld by Ofcom due to "Outside of remit / other". I'd really like to know what the complaint was. I wonder if the person was watching an old video or they just took ages to write a letter to Ofcom after seeing the original broadcast.

Ha ha. He's the one.

I watched an episode of The Big Breakfast yesterday. It was the final of 'Find me a Weather Presenter'. I think it is quite widely known that one of the contestants was BBC South East Today's Chrissie Reidy but I was surprised to see that former T4 presenter Steve Jones and a guy from Britain's Got Talent called Les Gibson also featured.

Reidy came second
