Wow, she was really good - I wonder why she was never in the running.

That's when Kelly Brook was on the holiday she never returned from. At this stage, Johnny hadn't had a week off since Denise left, which I think made him the presenter with the longest uninterrupted run in the show's history. He went on holiday the day before Kelly 'quit', and when he got back Lisa started.

I hope there's other parts of this, she was really good there.

I still love that living room set.

There's a second part now:

That Ultimate Big Breakfast Fan Page on Facebook is turning out to be a real gem, with former crew members and hosts signed up sharing memories. Such as the story behind the final OB with the gnome on Horseferry Road. Channel 4 were unaware it was going to happen and it was stuck there until after the bank holiday weekend.

And that fax from Prince Charles turned out to be 100% genuine. It was the BB and I did question it’s authenticity at the time.

Found these Big Breakfast spoofs. They even went as far as re-creating all the paintwork from the 1995 living room:

HC
Hatton Cross
Why would you go to the trouble of recreating the BB?
The original turned into a pariody of its former glory days towards the end, fairly well.

Denise presented with Richard Orford as a guest host in December 1996:

Hey Jason...any luck on finding out who composed the 'BB NEWS BACKGROUND THEME' & where to get hold of it?

I'm sure some of these parodies ended up on the show itself.

I'm sure the parody they used on the show featured children rather than students, and the clip was shown during the Chris & Gaby era.

Although the student parody looks older, there's a few telltale signs to suggest they were actually made in 1997.

A show from summer '97 has resurfaced, when Will Smith came to the house live and the whole show's outside. I think it was the first time Zig and Zag had been live for a few months as well...

It’s pretty obvious that they’re trying to avoid showing the front of the house when they’re with Richard and Will playing golf.

When the house eventually appeared on screen I was astounded to see it white and the balcony still in tact. Men in Black came out in August 97, so this was just a matter of weeks before the programme relaunched with the yellow house. Must have been a quick turnaround on the titles.
