I've made a sham of a mockery of a mockery of a sham of what the house would look like if they Breakfasted up the exterior a little.

I recently joined the Ultimate fan page on Facebook and there’s a clip with Johnny & Kelly presenting a Friday show with no script except for the Friday song. Can anyone remember this show or the date?

Is the house listed or protected in some way? It would in theory have been far easier after the fire just to knock it down and build again, not just on the footprints but on the garden too. Is it possible actually the prospect of it being acquired for the Olympic park actually stopped the owners doing that.

28th May 1999. Richard Whiteley was on to promote his short lived chat show Richard Whiteley Unbriefed, so to reflect this Johnny & Kelly were doing the show unscripted.

Ah, my google search was right! They mention a game between Bayern Munich and Manchester United in that particular edition of the Friday song and google told me that game was played on the 26th May 1999.

That'll be the game between Bayern Munich and Manchester United. Very Happy

A very naughty Mark Bannerman during "More Tea Vicar"

That’s very funny, particularly the way Johnny deals with it.

There are so many BB clips on YouTube now, thanks to that TV Gold channel but also beetleguese1209, which has loads of late 2000 material.

It's great to be able to binge watch The Big Breakfast, and make several observations:

1. Linton's laugh wasn't nearly as annoying as it seemed in 2000.
2. The gameshow sets became far more elaborate from Liza's stint onwards.
3. They were really quite unpleasant to Simon Fielder when he did exactly what he was paid to do.
4. The multicoloured checked curtains were better than anything that replaced them.
5. I never noticed just how dishy Harry The Piano was.

Tania Strecker a brief blast from the past there - think she was co-hosting when the house flooded. Johnny hosting for a week with Donna Air in October 2000 though - he actually did host with a few guest hosts over his stint, mainly in Super January but also it's how Liza came into the show and I'm sure he hosted with Sara Cox, Gail Porter and Davina McCall too - probably mainly in the time after Kelly left.

I don't think Denise actually co-hosted with many guest hosts at all during both her stints. Obviously Johnny came in as a guest host and she also hosted with Ant and Dec during 1997, but I think once Johnny came along they were generally off together and the only person I can recall her hosting with other than Johnny is Melanie Sykes, and I think that might have just been the day.

Denise presented with Richard Orford as a guest host in December 1996:

Yes obviously hosted with Orf but don't think she hosted with a non-regular BB presenter once Johnny came on board.

Talking of guesthosts saw this week Dannii Minogue was filling in for Gaby as early as Feb 1993. I thought she'd come on board much later when Mark Little was hosting. In the early days they seemed to have regular stand ins for Gaby like Dani Behr but often guest hosts doing just a week for Chris.
