Princess own their own studio so using any other is going to be a less favourable option. If they were ordered to, they would do as they were asked I imagine, but why would Channel 4 ask them to do that? It'd end up costing them more.

I very much doubt there's any bad blood if that's what you're referring to.

Some more pics of the house, note the fence blocking the left hand side of the French doors:

It's basically the set RI:SE MKII in the shell of the BB house isn't it.

I'm not complaining though... I thought it would have been long demolished by now.

I think the new owners of the house have done very well in restoring it after the 2002 fire.

It's been very well maintained beyond those ugly metal fences along the canal which gives the impression the house is abandoned.

Is this a mock or is this the actual 1997 extended music?

It's obviously looped in places.

We know there was an extended version because of the long end credits, though this has clearly used the titles due to the sounds effects of the items flying into the house.

For me this is the best Big Breakfast theme but it's most probably because I was at the age where I made a choice to watch it and enjoyed it.

I think there was also a longer version on The Bigger Breakfast titles featuring the white house in 1997? Does anyone have those titles?

Those titles only ran for 5 days. They began with the first ever Bigger Breakfast on the day the 1997 - 2000 theme music was launched. (Late May 1997. I think this clip is from the show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYlDFqGYKYE. Doesn't feature those credits though, sadly.)

On the Monday, the new theme accompanied the opening titles but it was a basic version of it, without many of the elements that subsequently featured. (That is, the theme accompanying the opening titles from autumn 1997 to spring 2000.)

However, from the Tuesday to the Friday, the 1996 theme was back for the opening, whilst the new theme featured into and out of breaks. (Not sure which theme was used at the close of the show. There were new closing titles made up of the 1992 - 1996 into/out of breaks and stings and incorporating the new theme - if they didn't launch this week, it'll have been the week after.)

Then, when the show returned to the house the following week, there were new, shorter opening titles which featured the new theme. (These were the titles that didn't really feature the house.) I'd be interested to hear the first, basic version of the 1997 theme over the first Bigger Breakfast's opening should this ever turn up.
