However much easier it is nowadays I suspect if the show was still on air it would still take them months to update the titles whenver they made any changes.

P.S. Do we know when the yellow house 1997 titles debuted as I'm sure they weren't in use from when Johnny started in the September, with the mid-1997 titles still used.

I think Johnny and Denise did a week as a permanent pairing with the shorter titles, then the yellow house titles launched.

What took them so long to create a fly-in of the white house? Was it weather? I've seen clips from the early bit of the 96 relaunch and it did seem to be a foggy Autumn!

Quite simply, the house wasn't ready.

Is the house still a private house? Is anyone even living there these days? I went past the house back in October last year and it seemed and felt like It was abandoned.

I passed by at lunchtime today, and reckon it's still occupied. In fact, there's another gate and letterbox in the Heras fencing that I'm not sure was there before - it looks like it could have even been informally divided into two residences.
(There were also some lights on inside.)

It has been formally divided into two residences for some time now. The one third of the house that wasn't really used on air has been sealed and has been on the market to rent.

The main part of the house is often rented out for filming so I doubt anyone lives there full time.

Picture 4 of that page is what once was the phone room!

I understand that it's now simply a rented property, but it's now lacking any soul or energy. Looking at those images I wouldn't be interested in it - I can understand that letting agents prefer to leave things as a blank canvas, but even the kitchen has no character.

I do think those images date from a couple of years ago - I've not heard of it being featured on any shows since then so it is possible the house is now in full private ownership and it's someone who treats it as their own home rather than a piece of TV history, which is fair enough.

The house is in a state where it isn't being left to ruin and is being well maintained - I'd like to think of the current tennants as just looking after it until the show returns triumphantly in the not too distant future.

Has the 1997 theme been edited to fit this mock? It Sounds slightly different here:

Seems to be the mid-1997 closing theme with more of a beat.
