As far as I know the house itself is still a private residence. The fishing club has been operating out of the old public loos and also round the corner on a bit of towpath which has been fenced off for Olympic construction since 2008.

The article makes interesting reading too as it mentions that the river and canal trust agreed to sell the property to the fishing club after securing funding but they went back on their word and gave them two months to leave from the 1st June.

This may have been mentioned earlier...but to save trawling through 47 pages....Am I right in thinking there was a Christmas set of titles made for the flying chicken/Artful Dodger "new" titles in 2000 but they also used the 1992 Christmas titles that year too? Anyone know why? I'd seen them using them the following year but assumed that was because they knew the end was nigh, same as with the montage of houses in the closing credits.
Also I've never seen the "brown" house that came between yellow and painted brickwork - did that ever make it into the titles? Or was it just a short-lived transition between those two colours?

Here's some footage of the brown house from around world cup 98. Can anyone work out the date going by the world cup countdown at the beginning?
You can see already that windows above the french doors have been changed.

I notice the windows above the french doors are black. Does this mean that the white frames used from 98 to 02 were stuck onto the original 96 black windows? It would certainly explain why the house has now reverted back to identical black style windows.
On the day the Basildon Sound System was condemned to the pond, the house was brown with white frames, so it really was a gradual refurb.
