That 1994 Christmas Day show being the only time Mark Little and Paul Ross presented together. Course on New Year's Eve/Day 1992 they did three live programmes in little over 24 hours, because the show on New Year's Day morning was certainly live, they launched Spot The Sausage on it (though bits of the shows were pre-recorded, of course, I remember Zig and Zag interviewed Antonia de Sancha on the New Year's Eve show and it was in the papers that morning).
They were live on Christmas Day in 1992, a Friday, but the extra pre-recd 1 hour Christmas shows were both on Sundays, in 1994 (Christmas Day) and 1995 (Christmas Eve.)
...and the night time NYE special was in 1992.

It's funny you should mention it again. I was thinking about The Link this morning.

I then received an email from Linkee (the inspiration for the BBC One show) that said that they now have an app. I downloaded it and started playing, and what subject should appear in a Linkee as a clue but this:
Incidentally, the Linkee was:

At least some of the questions are user-submitted, so there are spelling mistakes, unfortunately.

She was great - it tailed off in the later years but one of the things I loved about the show was the guest presenters. You never quite knew what you were going to get but a week of Jenny McCarthy made sitting through a week of Caprice worth it.
Also notice the 1996 cue cards still around at the beginning of 1999 (blue logo on yellow sunrise). Considering they'd have been amongst the easiest things to change it's surprising they lasted so long - not quite sure when they were ultimately dropped.

I'll see your Caprice and raise you Charlotte Hobrough, winner of Planet 24's Survivor. She presented with Richard Bacon for a day while Amanda Byram was on holiday. She had just won "£1,000,000 of Planet 24's money" but when Richard Bacon asked her if she was also being paid to present the Big Breakfast, she wouldn't say. They did do a phone-in where viewers could win £1000 of her money. In unrelated news, The Sun once published an article comparing her to Charlotte Gane.
