So did they start using the credits with the old houses before they got axed? I wonder what the thinking was behind that. A feeling of resignation I suspect.

They started using the montage of the flyout credits the week the Friday Song returned back in April 2001.
Back then they tried using different songs before returning to the classic. One of those i've already uploaded in this thread.

That 1996 kitchen was changed fairly quickly, IIRC. It was more blue to start with. Zig and Zag's space on the landing seemed to be tweaked constantly. It was way too muted at first, especially for a kids' slot.

Thanks - guess they're referring to the Oscars in the second clip, which IIRC had a special version of the titles - certainly remember an Oscar popping out of the bath.

Those credits were awful though - always thought they'd look better with the actual credits on the bits between the stings, not the stings themselves, with clips of the house used in between the stings.

Either i've chosen the wrong clips or Donna Air doesn't seem to get a word in edge ways in those two clips. She seems to get cut off by Amanda and Paul in both.
