30:50:07, it really is true that the days are getting longer.

That photo was taken on Sept 5th 2054 though - by then global warming will have forced us all to relocate to another planet with 36 hour days...
thegeek, DE88 and james-2001 gave kudos

I've never worked with the one above but I've used one similar which allowed you import a background image (ie the clock graphic without any numbers) and you could also import a font (I think - or the font/clock may have had to have been custom built for the hardware) . Then you could play around with the settings such as the font colour/border/transparency etc.

So you would load a graphic (maybe as a bitmap), specify a font and style for the digits and position it on-screen?

I found one for sale at the link below (only €150 + VAT apparently):

The accompanying image shows the rear with some serial interfaces - I guess you'd load the background images and fonts via these...

Behind the front panel is a Compact Flash card socket - Miles provided a utility to write a specific folder/file structure to the card with Font, graphics and animation characteristics. There was a era on BB when the digital time used to flip like a rail station clock for example.
The M44 could also generate analogue clocks with bouncing hands, but never on the BB!

I have a clock like that in my bedroom, I love them!

I don't remember that. They had the small animated clock in 2001 where the background moved up and down (and it looked far better than what replaced it!), but don't remember any flipping clock.

Your mind may be blown to discover it's actually the huge purple and yellow clock from 2000 which animates. It's a subtle movement though.

So subtle it was hardly worth it.

Although as I think we've mentioned before, the clock did change at the end of December and stopped animating. It looked as if it something new was rendering it. Possibly something to do with the relaunch?

It looks more like a graphical glitch than an animation. It may have been a workaround if there was no native support for animations in the hardware - it seems to be updating the top and bottom halves of the digits separately.

The only animated clock I knew of was the 2001 relaunch one - as mentioned that was 2 shapes which moved up and down in opposite directions behind the digits, the colours of the shapes also subtly changed. Really smart looking that was:

Found this sort of floor plan up for grabs on ebay, it looks like the it's for the house but it doesn't look like the house floor plan.

Anyone have any ideas?
