Well I think that the presenters (well, definately Amanda) are contracted to 'The Big Breakfast' until December, so they may do some shows for Planet 24.

I think she was originally only contracted until last January (1 year from relaunch) however I think she, as Mike is now working on a week by week arrangement. Richard originally started in April (1999) so his contract may well expire then. Anyway most contracts probably have a termination clause when the show is cancelled.

I would imagine that they 'Planet' will continue to work with Richard and Amanda.  I know Rich is going to be shooting another 10 x 45min episodes of 'Rent Free' for BBC Choice.

Do they have any other series to fall back on or are they hoping on some new comissions?

I know they still have their animation arm which produces cartoons for TV, games and the odd big breakfast title sequence, but that one's not likely anymore, unless they change it again in the next few weeks!

It shows how much the theme tune has evolved. It was VERY hard to get them to link together!

Whats with all these Official Threads? Confused What makes them official? Razz:

Anyway - good ridance to the programme - anything that keeps Richard Bacon in a job deserves to be pulled Smile

The topic title has changed back - it did read Big Breakfast - OFFICIAL THREAD so thats why it makes no sense now. I just think its a bit silly putting it when by no means are they any more special than any other thread.

Anyway back to the Big Breakfast - personally I think they made a big mistake dropping the relaunched look last year. The new logo and graphics were much more professional. But now they look as tacky as they were before it.

Lets hope Sky's effort doesn't use huge graphics as well in a similar way to Sky News!
