Well, on Friday March 29th 2002 it will be the end of an era, Channel 4's 'The Big Breakfast' comes to an end.  Over the next four weeks we should aim to use this thread to post our favourite memories of the show and in the final week on the final day use it to comment on the goings on, on the final ever BB!

I'm with you on that one mdta, I too thought Liza and JV were great together! If Liza stayed on when he left the show might still be running strong today!

Classic clips are on daily now at 8.05am, plus all new Zig and Zag at 7.45am.

PS: a request: please could anyone with capture facilities captures the BB Gold sections and place them on the web, either at their own destination, or in the files section of the group below (no webspace required)? Cheers!

It's been pretty much useless since Chris and Gaby left.

Maybe - but not in sufficient quantities to make me watch three hours every morning to get 20 minutes worth!

Are there any screengrabs of The Big Breakfast? I would like to see how BB is done in the UK.

Pretty much totally different to the sort of show you are thinking of! I've heard of several shows in Canada and I think the US which use the name but AFAIK all the shows are totally different. The Big Breakfast is a revolutionary show, it may be weak now but has allowed many shows to happen.

The BB Is probably one of the best sites for old material out there on the web, and other than that I suggest the cult TV pages on MichWeb, for a guide to BB sites on the web. Bowlocks is probably the best site on the web but look at all of them.

It would be great if someone could capture the clips - but I will start recording them anyway.

There is another great page/site that tracks the creation of the show right through to the present day, called 'The Other Side of the White Picket Fence' but I havn't got the address for that anymore, BrekkieBoy in particular have you got the address?

Here's when I watched the BB

From the start until around when Chris and Gaby left
Then I used to watch it once in a while
Then I got hooked when Johnny and Denise were on
I stopped watching after the second attempt to change the house around failed, and I'm watching on and offf now.

Yeah I'm about the same as that. I've watched The Big Breakfast on and off (and owned and played the boardgame) all the years it's been around, but I am glad to see it being replaced by something else. I think Channel 4 are definately making the right decision in axing it.

I'm usually outta the house for work 10 minutes before it begins every morning. So on the 29th I think I'll set up a tape for its last ever episode.
