The Big Breakfast is Back

Well, kind off - but let two ex-Big Breakfast presenters take over This Morning and it's already feeling BB-esque.

Denise Van Outen and Richard Bacon are hosting This Morning over the summer - and many Big Breakfast features have cropped up.

We have a "Family of the Week" and a houseband, the crew are more involved and we have a roving reporter going around the country.

Should be an interesting summer. I don't think Denise & Richard ever presenter the BB together (he joined after she left, then when she returned I think she always presented with Johnny, while Richard did the OB).

I was surprised Richard was not very good.He missed cues to link to some segments and also the break .Denise seemed to be carrying him most of the time.He didn't seem to be in tune with what was going on and i don't think he connects with the programmes viewers.
Poor choice of presenters .

Why is This Morning no longer given the summer off? The change might have been welcome.

Well you certainly got my attention with that title! Oh well, we can all dream I suppose...

And whose idea was it to allow Becky Mantin a feature?!!

Well after a week of watching, I am really enjoying it.
I didn't think much at first, but it has improved over the week. They seem to be naturally adding a BB edge to things, such as the Soap questions, they added the fact that they were driving around, only to be backed by the sound department that dug some sort of sound out.

I think that Richard & Denise did a show or when Johnny was off or on holiday. I'm not sure if Bacon was there before Denise originally left, but he was there when she returned in 2001.

It looks like an interesting viewing for the summer, I will be tuning in, if only they could get rid of that garish purple, orange and turquiose appearance, hopefully it will be gone by Phil & Fern's return!

I've noticed the BB feeling on This Morning this week i thought my ears were decieving me when i heard Richard say "Family of the Week" at first!. I havent watched it today but im guessing 'The Friday Song' didnt return in some form? If it did it would make us all wonder which former BB producer is working there!.
