bid-up.tv to be rebranded bid tv on Friday

Just heard the news over on Digital Spy and there was nothing here about it.

An ad in this weeks radio times had an advert for Freeview with a logo entitled 'Bid TV'. Arrows pointing both ways.

I don't like the new name, and it's going to be harder to link them. It's also a bad idea to mess with sucessful brands. Hopefully this will somehow involve the Falling Price music changing.

looks a bit crappy to me - and it's a shame that they're not getting rid of falling price auctions.

Will price-drop.tv be changing or is it just bid-up.tv?

proce-drop's name is true to its original format so theres no need for it to change.

It's a rubbish name IMO.

Looks like price-drop.tv have dropped the dot, making them simply price-drop tv.

i think the idea behind the name change is good as its not all bid-up now as it shows more falling price auctions than anything else.

the name looks good when seen om paper but when said out loud bid tv it sounds pretty stupid.

The name makes more sense now although Peter Simon just said it & it sounded odd to me.

Althouhg he just said "...whenever we have towels on Bid Up...."
