Well I have not seen any proper BBC regions programmes, but from what I have seen on the net the rather good looking sets seem to be with BBC LDN and South Today, but really most of the sets are the same and I don't really look that different with North West Tonight, Look North Leeds and Newcastle, Midlands Today, Points West, Spotlight and Look East (East) all seem to have similar sets. Though the proper set used for NWT is rather good, it's just the mointors which are never right, but the self-op studio is ten times worse for NWT. But isn't the point that all the English BBC Regions have to have a generic look?
I too like LDN and South East Today, but i have to say East Midlands Today's set is lovely - bright yellows, reds and blues (sounds awful, looks cosy and warm and great!), and of course the presenters help, too!
Yeah, East Midlands Today is the best, just for the cosy looking chairs. The picture panel at the back looks more stylish than the one at sister Midlands Today, which looks like it was a rush job putting it together
I liked the old Look North (NE&C) studio. The new one is awful, only one 'window'. The mini set is/was quite nice, but I have not seen it used for quite a while.

I like EMT's studio too. It's something different with its comfy chairs and coffee-table desk. There's something strange about the shot they use during Breakfast though.
