Dun-dun-durrr! He's not really called Barry Scott!

He's an actor called Neil Burgess who's also appeared in a Brian McFadden video - and here's the proof. Apparently they decided Barry Scott was a trustworthy sounding name suitable for their product launch.

So now the Barry Scott Mystery is solved does anyone know why they gave the stuff such a stupid, idiotic name, what does it mean?

I think it's originally a foreign product, so it probably sounded really cool in Hungarian or somet.

Reckitt Bekinser seem to own it - they make nice products with proper names like Dettol and those wiffy cloth things!

I hate: Any advert to do with the RSPCA, I find the organisation annoying. This doesn't mean I hate charity, I love charity, I endorse most charities just not the RSPCA.

Actually, most charity adverts are annoying. The PDSA do a lot of very annoying ads. Dogs being put down? Well, that sounds like a good cause. Unfortunately, the PDSA are against it. If they were in favour, I'd happily give two pounds a month.

I relay like the 3 Adverts - they are very diffrent and I think they have taken quite a brave step with them.

I also like the old Vodafone ads (with the x-files type people).

does anyone remember the ad where they used to say "chezkoslovakian yeast" near the end.

I'm trying to remember what product it was for, was it Holsten Pils?

That marmite one with the big Marmite blob was stupid.

One I currently like is the Grosch ad with death in it, "shtop, I was only shleeping"

How did we know a certain amphibian would get dragged into this thread...

That ad (and its frequency) has to be the most annoying ever. Interesting that Jamster have not embarked on a campaign of similar intensity since; almost an admission they went too far.

I'd like to know why Carcraft use a Frank Sinatra song for their adverts, and have been doing it since last September. The original was simple and much more jolly. This is slow and annoying. Plus I can't stand any Frank Sinatra stuff.

Mind you, Jamster and co still advertise to death on music channels. Rolling Eyes
