Of all the multitude of sites abounding at the moment (it just seems as though everybody is getting on the bandwagon!) there are very few that I will return to regularly:

TV Home obviously(!) for the content and the forum - plus I've had the pleasure of assisting Asa with some minor parts

The TV Room also for its content (and it hosts a 1985 C4 break bumper from me!!)

TV Ark, TV World and MHP for their historical coverage.

Also, all these sites look and feel professional - lacking in many sites which just seem to be copies of the same same same material.

To chose a favourite from these, I would have to go with mine (!) Greek TV Idents Very Happy

The sites which I regularly visit are:

TV Home - For the forum, and hopefully shortly for the regular good quality updates, The YTV Idents are particularly good!

TV World

ITV Schools - A new site with excellent quality Schools presentation, Nobody can compete on CH4 Schools stuff with this site!

The TV Room
TV Ark - Good Historical material
and
Round the Regions

Well I hope my site will be a regular of yours, becuase its here to stay!!

I'm not jumping on any bandwagon - Ive been planning my site for OVER A YEAR, not becuase every other tom, dick and harry is copying Asa and building a website in an afternoon.

I welcome people to continue to assist the tv sites there are now!

TV Home is the best, it has raised the standards in quality and regular updates, I didn't realise how many of my files had come from TV Home, til I lost my computer and started to rebuild, I've got about 10 files so far, and that will probably go up to 400, when TV Home is back(not only files from TV Home, but files TV Home has reminded me of!). But also has launched so many others into making sites, its sort of TV Home is the City, with city centre being the site, and then the suburbs being sites that have been started up, by people on the forum. Also the forum is HUGE success, before this my only ident chatting was odd theads on Not BBC.
Also The TV Room, good info and a few gems
TV Ark and TV World Historic, and TV World esp, for Sky 95 and 96!.

TV Home must definitely be the undisputed king of TV presentation sites! It provided the inspiration for me to set up one of my own - which, BTW, now has some BBC Bomb stuff (plug Smile)

That's one of the beauties of TV-Ark - people coming together to provide and host the material in one coordinated highly-polished effort.

Well theres a reason for the swirly colours to my website, and that reason is:

Most of us who visit these TV websites, its like going back in time, so the blues and oranges are meant to be a time vortex, the rest of the site is full of icey blues, and sunset oranges, so I hope you all like the effect when the site launches on July 2nd.

The most boring bit of making a website lies ahead for me in the next week - uploading the mass of files I have! Sad

BTW Andrew - why are you in Paros, you seem to be having a nice long holiday, or were you exiled from the UK? Wink

It's a great effect - which graphics package did you use?

I know exactly what it's like uploading all those files! With NBCi potentially closing in a month's time, I've got some shifting to do... Sad

I'll be there a week tomorrow then, look forward to seeing it all!

Nice long holiday? Cheeky beggar! That was the first year -- I have to work now... (My partner and I moved here in Dec 97 after selling a business.)

---

Sorry! - all this is straying off topic. Apologies
