We remember Swap Shop, Tiswas, No 73, Saturday Superstore, Going Live, Motormouth, What's Up Doc, Live and Kicking, SMTV Live and Dick and Dom but what about other programmes which were shown on Saturday mornings such as at the moment Saturday Kitchen on BBC2 with Anthony Worrol Thompson and Soccer AM.

Long ago we used to have Open University programmes on BBC2 through to 3pm and Channel 4 also has a racing preview on their Saturday mornings for over 10 years.

Anyone remembers programmes which were shown on Saturday mornings (mainly before Swap Shop started and others on in the 80's and 90's) from the last 80 years.

I like Soccer Am and Saturday kitchen.

Didn't Anthony Worrol Thompson made his programme at his home last summer on BBC1 when it swaped with the children's programmes

Get off it my freind, I really think Soccer Am was the best in recent years but now that's off air for the summer so there's Saturday Kitchen on BBC2

I think last summer Saturday Kitchen was taken off air on BBC2 to make way for CBBC programmes whilst BBC1 shown a mixture of lifestyle programmes (not Saturday Kitchen!) from July until September.
I wonder if the BBC will be doing this switch around this summer?
I think BBC2 in particular needs to revamp their Saturday morning schedule. I like Saturday Kitchen, but I disagree with the amount of News 24 being shown. It seems gone are the days when BBC2 used to dedicate it's Saturday early morning schedule to an old film or two Smile
