And, as to the 'you are mad' comment - well, 50% of the viewing public at 1830 can't be wrong. It's actually, in terms of share, the HIGHEST rated news programme (including national) in the country ... and that's a fact.

Oh no, that's not true, I really like Reporting Scotland aswell! It's just that Spot Light is the only other regional programme that i've managed to see and I quite liked it!

Their traffic news in a morning (in GMTV) is a joy to behold.
They just show the same caption EVERY morning of the same 4 sets of roadworks.
The M6 could explode, the 62 melt & every train in the region breakdown... and Granada News wouldn't notice.

I've gotta stick up for Granada News after that

attack there! Granada Reports has gone from being really cheap and tacky to absolutely blummin' amazing! Lucy Meacock and Rob McLaughlin are a great combination (although not as good as Lucy and James Cooper, now sadly demoted to sports presenter) and the reporting team are young, professional and thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Sadly Rachel Harrison is no longer part of the team - does anyone know where she is now?
Oh yeah, did someone say that Carrie Frais now does Central News or something? If so, does she do the main 6pm bulletin or what?

Yes, CARRIE FRAIS does now present Central News at Six. She will be standing in for Marie Ashby, and she already presents the sports news on the show.

i vote central news at six (west) - especially with bob warman and jo malin, the ultimate team i think. oh and i think wesley smith should be importend from CN south more often to fill in - he's a real pro!
