I'd nominate Central News (East), because it was the first region to have the sofa and 'relaxed' approach. The first to have the new upbeat title music and graphics (all of which Central News West have copied recently).
The presenters, Marie Ashby, Annabel Tiffin, Llewela Bailey, Lisa Foden and ex-Sky Sports and Channel 5 presenter Carrie Frais, are all good. The only one who I do not like is Jonathan Ray. He loves to steal the show, only it's never his to steal!
What about your other regions?

Would have to go for BBC London News. The approach is fresh and stylish, the music is fantastic, and it just makes all the other regional news programmes look drab and old-fashioned!
For a good evenings comedy viewing, I choose Midlands Today

i think its funny in a sad kind of way... sad that a region with a population larger than wales are expected to watch that, and pay £109 for the pleasure - compared to central news, which is much more proffesional and costs alot less to make i bet!
did anyone see the report on midlands today, the anthorax alert at warwick police station, lol it was just sand, central news didnt even bother to mention it - m2d wasted a good 5 minutes on it

BBC NEWS NORTHERN IRELAND - Newsline
Pretty good regional news program. Noel Thompson and Donna Traynor are a good team. And Karen Patterson is eye candy

I Hate HTV West
Gotta be Points West guys .... average 45% audience share ... highest in the country ...
I'm voting for BBC North West Today/Tonight. It is an excellent programme - not too much banter, and not too serious. For example, Gordon Burns (the best regional presenter IMO) was joking about a lingere shop yesterday with Allan Beswick on the programme! It has just the right mixture, plus the fact that all of the presenters (except Tina Bangs) are excellent. Gordon Burns is the best, Martin Henfield is serious, but comical in a way, and Nigel Jay is just terrific!! The way be clunks that self opt button!! He always seems well organised and jokes quite a bit in the morning!!
