I voted for the Tyne Tees one, they were the only ones who used orange as their background for their blue logo, while everyone stuck to navy blue or grey.
I voted for Grampian as it's logo was clearly visable in the triangle. Grampian also used it the longest.
The TVS ident was a bit weird as the caption underneath the IT* says TVS Television but TVS stands for Television South; ITV must have thought they were Television South Television - a mouthful.
**Correct me if the above info is wrong, i.e. they were TVS - TV!

The TVS Television phenomenon was born out of a corporate change in the company. TVS became a PLC and diversified into other areas, and thus the television business was renamed. Television South was dropped and it became TVS Television. Their local ident was changed to reflect this, the ITV variant just followed suit.
Personally I think they were all pathetic, except the Thames/LWT ones, strangely enough. London bias yet again, which is why this design failed. They thought up an idea for London, then retro-fitted the design for the other regions in a cheap-looking and contrived manner. The idents themselves were well-implemented, but the design just sucked. Not as badly as the 1999 effort though...

I've voted for Thames.
I never understood why the Yorkshire variant designed by EMP only used part of the chevron.
As a chevron is trianglar-ish, they could have used it intact, whereas most other regions' logos didn't lend themselves well to the triangle (e.g. Central's logo was a
circle
).
Perhaps EMP felt that as all other region's had had to have their logos butchered, it would be unfair that one region (i.e. Yorkshire) should get special treatment.
Of course, Yorkshire simply re-edited their ITV sequence themselves to include a full chevron.
PS Interesting how Thames designed a triangular logo for their 21st anniversary. It was such a departure from their traditional logo, that I can only assume they knew the generic look was coming soon, so wanted a logo that would fit in without being too heavily butchered (?).
