I don't think you can really compare them. Firstly, Five hasn't really "rebranded" as such. It's just introduced a batch of new idents. They're excellent, but they're not very different from what they had before.
ITV has had a complete overhaul of its entire on-screen presence. It is a much more significant change than Five has had.
I agree with pad - ITV is the most improved. But then again that wouldn't have been hard. Strangely, I find myself watching more ITV now than I did before - I feel more comfortable doing so for some reason! Beforehand I really just felt that it wasn't aimed at me, so I didn't feel at home watching it. But the relaunch has brought with it a whole new feel for the whole of ITV, a feel which I find much more appealing than the old ITV.

You're not alone there. I guess ITV's tactics have worked - they wanted to get people to change their views of ITV and I think they've succeeded. Though I'm desperately disappointed in ITV1's idents, the rest of the package is faultless.
