Your watching the ITV News Channel, we're now going to take a break but when we come back you can watch a stupid Budget promotion, then the ITV News Weather graphics and then how about the shortest of weather summaries and then the Budget promotion and then the ITV News Weather graphics and then a reminder of the headlines and then a break and then the stupid 'Breaking news for Britain'.
It is surely the quality of journalism and presentation that is most important. For accurate breaking news, the best in-depth analysis and a presentation team which is (largely) the best in the business - Bill Turnbull, Sian Williams, Jon Sopel, Maxine Mawhinney, Jane Hill, Susannah Reid, Philip Hayton to name a few (but not Wallydoodah or Sissons) - News 24 is undoubtedly the superior news service.
Hopefully when the new look arrives that will sort out the only major problem with the channel, which is the set.

Whats wrong with Peter Sissons!! he's brought the channel some experience and depth that it needs - although, why they shoved him on a weekend shift I don't know.
i like Peter Sissons - just not on rolling news. He was much better in bulletins with structure, he just seems... wrong on N24. It just doesn't flow very well. My problem is not with Sissons, he's just being used in the wrong place.

Yes; thats true.
I would give him his own little programme on the channel similar to Hard Talk / Talking Movies that goes out over the weekends. He could discuss the weeks news events and analyse the events with some of the reporters / members of the public.
Like Straight Talk, but less politcal - with a wider agenda.
One has to wonder why News 24 is winning the poll, when it gets nothing but (entirely fair) criticism. Who is actually voting for it?!
Me for one, i'm not going to get into an argument so don't anybody waste their breath.
Me for another!
I like the style, and I can tend to take the news coming from them a little more serious than ITV...suppose it's down to presentation & personal preferance.
Although, there have been claims of the BBC 'dumbing down' lately, so if this 'dumbing down' hits N24 in a big way, I'll be tuning out!
