With a plethora of news outlets avaliable, which, in your opinion, provides the best service? What aspects of news are most important to you? For example, do you consider good presentation more important than journalistic integrity?

As far as I'm concerned, nothing surpasses Euronews. It seems to reports news in an impartial way, with intelligent strands such as High Tech and Le Mag ensuring that the channel isn't simply back to back news. Also, the No Comment section is great, as it provides viewers with coverage of RAW news, as oppossed to clean, edited news offered by other news networks.

Anyway, discuss!

I've voted for ITV News. It's got a lot better since the war. I'm sure others would agree with me on this.

I doubt it.

ITV News may be a good domestic netwok news programme, but as a news channel, its pretty awful. Almost as bad as BBC News 24. I would either vote for Sky News or BBC World - both very good, but with different news agenda's.

There's no question and no competition.

It goes to Sky News.

They're the best, full stop.

The word 'doubt' suggests that you havent even watched ITV News Channel to give a valid statement on this thread!

I would have to agree that ITV News has improved since the Iraq war (it couldnt really get any worse) but it has found its own ground, pace and niche of viewers and is very watchable. They have also shown that they are as good (if not better) at breaking news ahead of BBC and SKY.

I used to watch BBC News 24 but keep flicking over to it to see if it has improved but it is dead in the water. Whereas BBC World is better but I cant understand why?

SKY News is still the leader in my eyes but is getting its tail chased by ITV News Channel who with their limited resources arent doing that bad considering!

ITV News channel has improved, but would be far more 'watchable' without the unbearably bad Owen Thomas.

I am most dismayed and disappointed to see that neither MSNBC or America's most popular and patriotic news network FOX NEWS are not included in this poll.

Shurely shome mishtake?

But on second thoughts, maybe FOX NEWS is being reserved for the poll of worst news networks?

I didn't include MSNBC because very few people see it in the UK, and also didn't include Fox, because if it was included, others would moan that CCTV and other less prominant stations weren't included. A line had to be drawn!!

One has to wonder why News 24 is winning the poll, when it gets nothing but (entirely fair) criticism. Who is actually voting for it?!

The votes go to;

Sky News.....

Sky News.....

and the winner....... Sky News!!!!!

all the others are a weak imitation. OK, News 24 is in W/S, so when Sky news go W/S, they'd better run scared!!!!
