Very funny, they forgot to change the logo on the ITV one, my favourite is, dare I say it CARLTON!

Before you lot start slagging me off, I like the idents and not the name, I would happily see CENTRAL come back!

I think the Carlton ones are the best! Of course like harshy I would love to see regional identities return again.

I especially liked the Carlton Christmas logos which many ITV companies decided not to use! At least Carlton has the festive spirit!

Now all they need to do is sort out Central News West and they'll be fine

My favourite, at least currently, are the Carlton ones. Regardless of your opinion of them and them dropping brands left, right and centre - they still make (or at least commission) good idents!

I agree, I like the Carlton idents despite their little rebranding spree.

I also like the Granada 1994 ident, It had a really simple yet effective theme tune ... oh Alma's dead ... and I liked the whole appearence of of.
I suppose one of my favourites from ITV has also got to be the final Thames ident, it was so clever and had an excellent fanfare to go with it.

I've been on the phone today to tttv and guess what i found out - the logo on the itv generic ident 'the old one' is being changed and will be on in next two weeks

Didnt think they tell people stuff like that - oh well ill wait and see

Damn! That might cast our little ident relaunch in the Autumn into doubt then!

Don't suppose you asked if YTV Pres. were busy making new ones for GMG regions did you?

I like the Carlton ones a lot -- but the regional Tyne Tees ident is good too - I like the music on that one.
