Well BBC News 24, I suppose have a 'proper' studio compared to BBC World, who have dumped their set in the newsroom, but World is interesting. but BBC National News is the best by far.

It'll be interesting to see Skys, ITN's OK, well the desk is!

Sorry - BBC News 24s studio is 'plonked' in the newsroom as well. It looks a bit more like a studio - but is in reality still newsroom floor area, with only superficial walls, none of which fully reach the ceiling.

ITN News studio is good, but not the best. ITV used the same news studio 9with a differnt desk) from 1995-1999

Its ploncked int he middle of the newsroom so yuo can see whats going off- useful cos ive seen arguments back there. Of course BBC News 24 now appears to have a fourth DOG so now all four corners are vandalised (grr.. Shocked )

The C4 News studio is very good, expecially with that view of the ITN budiling in the background.

I like the C4 news studio. The glass behind Jon Snow goes right to the edge of the ITN building's atrium. You can also see some kind of reel to reel tape machine in the background sometimes. The video wall is used to good effect, but that huge table between Jon and guest is a bit silly.

I just wish Channel 4 would trash The Big Breakfast and put on a decent breakfast programme, leave the 'yoof' stuff to Channel 5.

I totally agree with you c@t, Big Breakfast has become somewhat of a disgrace over the past year. Time it was put out of its misery Sad

The thought that ABC has never launched a news channel is not quite true.
Back in 1982 ABC launched the Satellite News Channel, SNC for short, to rival CNN. Needless to say SNC was a disaster and ABC couldn't find the funds to keep it going. CNN would've been history by now if it hadn't been run by Turner, the same can be said for Sky/BSkyB.

I knew about SNC, but I was talking about currently -- CNN bought out SNC and launched CNN2 in it's place, which later became CNN Headline News…

thanks for the pics of MSNBC Mark. The only major changes has been the map and a new alcove (the comfy area in the pics I posted). There used to be like for big round tables there and a really huge neat mural type thing -- i think it was of a like motion picture lot…i remember there was a water tower with MSNBC on it…i think…

News 24's studio is the best. Not sure about the presenters faces though Wink strange she was making that face really as it was a link into the weather. Maybe shes worried about the DOW Jones counter in the corner.

Here are a few pics from 'Fox & Friends', the Fox News Channel's cheesily titled breakfast show. And, wait for it, it's broadcast from a........streetside studio! No surprises there, then. Actually I noticed today that the studio used for Fox News Live is also streetside.

Something tells me it's not exactly the most serious of news programmes, seeing as one of the presenters seems to be dressed up as a witch! Very Happy

By the way, does anyone have any screenshots of the other US network breakfast shows (especially Good Morning America), as I'd love to put them on my site. I know that GMA has a very swanky new Times Square studio - they moved into it while I was on holiday in the states in 1999.

I don't know if it's one of my little niggles, but I am not comfortable with desk-less news studios.
