What does everyone think is the best channel in the UK at the moment for presentation? (Think outside the box, not just channels 1 through 5!)
My vote goes to Sky Movies... consistent, modern, and professional looking, with good music to boot. Sky have often lead the way for other channels in the past with their style of presentation, let's hope some other channels follow this (I would love something like this on BBC1 or something).
Without question for me it's Channel 4. It has the "wow" factor with clever idents which take the time to sell the channel, not just the programming. But enough Barketing babble - it just looks and feels so darn good!
(I'm sorry for being unable to think outside the box!)
If you had asked me this in 2004 it would have been BBC TWO, probably followed by S4C.
But, without a doubt, the current leader is Channel 4.
a superb new take on the block formation idea, but what really secures it at #1 for me is that the new idents in particular have very good music, plus it is excellent to see these sequences of such long lengths (Stage, Dockyard, Tokyo, all over 30'' for example), when previously an ident would only be on screen for a few seconds. Well done Channel 4!
I would also agree that Channel 4 has the best presentation package so far. ITV1 is a complete let down (even the hearts idents were better than these); BBC Two's collection of "2 on yellow" is also getting quite stale.
