Does HIGNFY count? In the Radio Times Comedy History Bible thing, comedies with a quiz element (HIGNFY, Whose Line, etc.) aren't included, although they are still mainly comedy shows. Well, Ryan started the topic so he can decide:): does HIGNFY count?

OK try a harder question, top ITV comedies, if we just list overall best comedies, we could spend all year listing them.
Top ITV Comedies (in no particular order)
Loved By You
Holding the Baby(the 1st series carried it)
Babes in the Wood
(I'd go on, but the list ends there)

From reading the responses apart from one or two, ITV have the worst comedy programmes. The only one I can think of is Men Behaving Badly and even then after the first series the BBC got it.

Good ITV sitcoms ?

A Fine Romance - quite funny in it's day.

I liked that one with Bruce Forsyth as a supermarket manager, don't remember the name though.

Oh yeah, and that thing with Honour Blackman in, about a big mansion thing.
What was it called, I liked watching it anyway.

ITV should really bring back Cluedo with Richard, I loved that.

Yeah, both were on ITV. Surgical Spirit was good, but got boring.

It's not really a 'sit'com, but Cold Feet is brilliant and funny and clever and, I love it!!!!!

The Upper Hand was a load of crap - it was about some upper class english family - with a male servant.

The kids were snotty, and the mother was off her head- and Honor Balckman sounds like she smokes 80 fags a day! Smile

I think the best ITV sitcom was 'Only when I laugh', the hospital one. It had James Bowlam and Richard Wilson in it from what I remember.
