I have been flicking through channels to try to get the latest on the US Attack, but some news broadcasts seem to behind others. Which one do you think is the best and gives the news better than other news stations / programmes.

All of the US news networks coverage was really extraordinary. I voted for NBC's because the correspondents and presenters were absolutely exquisite - particularly Brian Williams and Ashleigh Banfield -- she was absolutely amazing. I know most of you guys can't see it, but take my word for it.

ITV- Best Pictures, BBC News was always 30 Mins behind.
Well I watched BBC News throughout this event, and I was extremely impressed with their coverage. The presenters were professional in the situation, and the BBC NEWS SPECIALS ran very smoothly, bringing us the breaking news. I thought Jane Hill was superb throughout this, and Bill Turnbull was overnight.

I really can't see how any of this is appropriate.

Well this is a TV Presentation forum, however, I agree it does seam insignificant and trivial. I stayed with the BBC for as long as I could but, ITV also did a very good job. I think C4 have been the worst because it took them a while to get on air(almost excusable because they only usually put out one programme a day), the returned to normal schedules quickly and used music on their programmes. Anyway generally I think the news industry around the world has done a fantastic job, and put news first.
Well I watched the coverage from BBC World, and it was not as good as BBC News 24, who IMHO, were slightly ahead.
But as Sam says, yesterday's events were quite terrible and horrific to watch and we can only hope that the people who organised this extroadinary attack on New York, Washington and Pensylvania(apologies for the spelling)are caught and severely punished.

Sorry, I did not want to lessen the debate on TV, because it is during these news events that the real mettle of all news networks are shown. However I did feel that a vote upon which station was the best was a tad OTT.
Yes it is indeed a sad day and we should not forget the real meaning and impact of what happened today.
I must say though that ITV and CNN had very good coverage. Normally I wouldn't watch CNN but their coverage was excellent. Sky News also had very good coverage of the situation.
The BBC seemed to be a bit slow and they just kept using those box out things which got very annoying. Also they seemed to show the same footage OVER and OVER again. Other networks were conducting interviews to try and establish more but the BBC kept saying things again and again. The BBC coverage was OK, but certainly not the best.
I echo the thoughts of itsrobert wholeheartedly. I stayed with News 24 until just after 3 last night, and took me a while to get to sleep after that. I'm still finding it difficult to comprehend, this whle situation.
Out of all the networls the BBC did provide the best coverage. I tunes in to all the others at some point but decided to stick with the BBC. ITN, Sky News and CNN were all using American Channels so the news was coming through their before it got to the BBC.
