Someone at ITV should have checked the episode of Benidorm they have put on tonight; Rolf Harris references a plenty with a karaoke rendition of Two Little Boys.

Thanks for the tip. I am recording it on ITV[1]+1. It will probably never be shown again.

Looks like they've censored the Rolf references on +1:

How ridiculous. Especially when he will be appearing on the news straight afterwards.

I supposed they might have to pay Mr Harris a repeat fee for the song?

I wonder if Comedy Central or BBC Radio 4 Extra have pulled any episodes of Dead Ringers yet.

Benidorm isn't the only show that should've been checked:

If it was just a karaoke version, then no, since he has no claim on the publishing.

Indeed - Two Little Boys is itself a very old song indeed, published in something like 1902 I think.

Very unfortunate incident, which ITV have apologised for - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-28124959

The BBC managed something similar with an episode of Tweenies on CBeebies which featured a pop music presenter very much in the style of Jimmy Savile.

How I wish I could tell if you're being serious or not....

I do hate the idea of rewriting history due to such events and effectively banning the broadcast of shows the culprit doesn't really have a claim over. It's a tricky one and they'll never be a right answer - it's one thing never rebroadcasting Animal Hospital but another not broadcasting an episode because it featured a song in a brief moment or a couple of jokes.
HJL, Telly Media and MarkT76 gave kudos
