Source? Who did they survey-- not every 16-29 year old in the country? Laughing

I may need to get out more, but I think it is very depressing if that is true. Personally I think it is very sad if people my age can't relax or have fun without smoking cannabis; a drug that has been increasingly shown to cause mental health problems Confused

Anyway that's entirely another debate Embarassed ! Any updates on what has happened to Ben Freeman?

They've been saying that since the 50's.

If you're a weak minded fool to begin with it probably wouldn't do you any good.

Wibble.

They have been saying it since the 1950s, but recent studies show it the strength of cannabis has increased in recent years. Even pro-cannabis campaigners such as Rosie Boycott have changed their minds on the downgrading of cannabis in light of this evidence.

Anyway, if you want to smoke cannabis and potentially fry your brains, that's your choice. Your life, not mine-- I'm sure you can make your own descisions Cool We will have to agree to disagree on this Smile

Besides the why and wherefores of cannabis smoking have precious little to do with what this thread was originally about...

So what is the latest on Ben Freeman? Any updates?

I'm guessing by your writing (with all the subtly of Mein Kampf/Daily Mail), you have never liked this actor and this is a great excuse for you to revel in his troubles. Am I right?

I've got nothing against the guy and I'm certainly not revelling in his troubles. It's up to individuals how to live their lives, but when that someone is in the public eye and I've followed their career for a number of years I can't help but feel disappointment when they screw up.

Your implying guilt in that statement alone!

Why should you be disappointed - he's not answerable to you at all!

"Screw up" is a fairly ambiguous phrase in my opinion, though perhaps in this instance the most unsuitable pun.

Ben Freeman might not be answerable to me, but his position as a long-standing cast member of a top soap is a priviledged one to be in. Thousands of "resting" actors could take his place in an instant.

Perhaps he, and other soap stars who hit the headlines for negative reasons, should think before they act sometimes!
