So no comment then on the big scandal of these games according to some of the tabloids at least - the crops, boob-free, close up shots of Sharron Davies in the swimming!

The band of Daily Heil readers and National Service advocates crying "OH MY GOD! YOU CAN SEE SHARRON DAVIES'S NIPPLE !'
It's a damn nipple, get over it.

With a username like that, you instantly receive my full contempt and derision. Get stuffed. TV Forum isn't a place for you to just reproduce your sad little blog verbatim.
Although certain members have been known to take other blogs and pass them off as their own.
Or are you James Martin?

I feel like an arse as I will admit I thought the fireworks were real.
But it does make you think what else has been faked at this Olympics. It wouldn't be the first time though because that archer at the Barcelona Olympics didn't light the torch, it turned out to be an optical illusion qand he fired over but from the TV angle it looked like he hit it.

It's all about making good TV at the end of the day, and there's no harm in a bit of fakery if it improves the experience for the viewer.
I was thinking tonight how although it's still excellent, The Secret Millionaire has lost a bit of it's charm in it's attempts to be transparent and honest, though last week they did have the Millionaire driving his car in a black shirt in the wide shots and white shirt in the close ups.

Bit like the Eurovision interval act a few years ago - in Switzerland I think. Archery based, final sequence was the archer shooting an apple on a person's head (like William Tell). Live it was clear that he missed the apple. The slow motion replay (obviously from rehearsal) showed him hitting it...
Similarly - more recently - the voting recaps used at the end of the contest were obviously from a rehearsal and not the performance we saw on the night. (One performer had worn a long sleeve shirt in the rehearsal but switched to sleeveless for the live show. The reprise was long-sleeved...)

I've mentioned this before, but in the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games (in 1986), they pre-recorded us performing part of one of the routines the day before - when it became clear that we couldn't do it live.
Its not a new thing!
