Yeah. It's probably a good thing to have news updates during the morning (especially on weekdays) but if you're following the Olympics then you're likely to see these a few times in a morning and it just got really dull seeing the same two reports over and over again. The second report, in particular, with some teenage girl going on about beating people up, could have been rotated with another story every other hour.

Their morning show Sunrise is also being presented a few cubicles down from the BBC.
Hmm - not sure that is strictly true.
The main BBC Studio is in the Ling Long pagoda, and shares a level with France Television I believe. Don't think the Aussies are on the same floor?
It could be that the Aussie gallery, which will be in the IBC, is a few doors down from the BBC IBC operation, but the BBC aren't presenting from the IBC.
Or was the discussion about location/news rather than sport/studio presentation?
There was a behind-the-scenes tour thing, they're probably at different locations. Sunrise are/were broadcasting from a big balcony thing with dividing walls to seperate broadcasters away from the main pagoda area.

Well prior to 8.30 Adrian and Hazel were sharing the work pretty evenly, though he didn't really seem as comfortable as Hazel, but for some reason he went quite quiet in the last half hour, and I don't know why he left so early?
As for the news bulletins, they are annoying for sports fans, but probably necessary - it'll be worse during the week with the local news update as well.

What was the point in sending Adrian Chiles out there for Olympic Breakfast.
I only caught it from about 8.30am, but Hazel seemed to be doing the bulk of the work, with Adrian leaving at 9am and Hazel hosting for another couple of hours.

They inform us quite handily if you don't want to watch the swimming finals at 2am Olympic Breakfast will show them at the much more reasonable hour of 6am.

How late into the night do the Olympics go? And what are the BBC doing to inform viewers of all of the action overnight? Is this where Olympic Breakfast comes in?

On the presenter shot especially you can see dirt marks on the windows - really quite noticable. So - China were ready in all aspects - but letting themselves down in the main aspect - the broadcasting!
