I saw somewhere (can't rememeber where though), that the cheapest programme/production that the BBC produces is the weather at around £60 a time.
Now we can try and put a good estimate on what weather presenters such as Michael Fish and Helen Willets get paid. £60 a broadcast - 10 broadcasts a day = £600 a day!
How much does your average BBC Newsreader get paid? A lot I'm sure!

Channel 5 get the highest wages for Newsreaders. Proably to keep them. I heard that the 5News anchorman is now a millionnaire
I know that Breakfast simulcasting on BBC News 24 and BBC One saves the BBC millions! I would prefer News 24 to have its own version, Breakfast 24 with Bill Turnbull/Chris Eakin and Sian Williams/Heather McCarthy.
It saves them about 20 million.
What did News24 have before they joined up in the morning? I never watched it whatever it was.
I find Breakfast a bit of a stupid programme, much prefered Brekkie News.
Breakfast is a little nonsensical, I mean..
The programme is essentially a news programme, yet they have news updates in the news... why?
It is a mix of GMTV and BN.
And the sooner they get rid of JB the better, that man is a real idiot.
The show improved a million times this morning with Bill and Sian on JB is an idiot and they should send him back to the middle east, where hopefully he will get blown up.
That's just my opinion anyway.
channel 5 news is suprisingly very popular these days.

Well, it was a while back. But if Kirsty Young kept on 5News she would be a millionnaire, she doesn't get as bigger pay now on ITV News, but god, what did I read that on? The anchorman now, i don't know his name, is a millionnaire.
5NEWS is actually good, just as the Sun is a good paper.
And please don't any idiots come here and say 'The Sun is a rubbish paper for idiots'.
It isn't, it is increadibly influencial and probably the most influencial medium in the UK and gets more political exclusives than any other paper.
I know that probably the majority of this forum will not have sat down and watched 5NEWS for the full 30 mins, as the BBC is on the other side, but it is a well put together service.
