Nothing but then again nothing can compete with Coronation Street on BBC1 at the same time either.
I don't know why there has to be this obsession where the highest rating show is the only one that matters and every other show is automatically rubbish, if you follow this then surely BBC2, Channel 4 and Five should be axed immediately

Definatly not! Dr Who has proved that there is a huge audience who want to see a high quality drama on a Saturday night. Clearly with the disaster that has been Celeb Wrestling the public have proved that they are becoming tired of these shows which serve only one purpose - to boost the egos of Z-list hasbeens. Dr Who is something very different to what we have seen for a number of years, and the public like this, not more reality rubbish.
Celeb Love Island has been scheduled to begin on 16th May at 21.00 so clearly this isnt aimed for a teatime audience! Maybe ITV, having seen the success of last years BB with the Stu and Michelle love saga, have decided they want a bit of live on screen sex to boost their ratings, which to be honest, is what theyre really hoping will happen. In any case, it will bomb in the ratings when up against BB at the end of May- FACT!

It's going to be the same as the Peter Andre and Jordan thing. Totally put on! They will attract saddos who are obsessed with Z-List Celebrities and then when it's over, they will be paraded in crappy magazines for months to come! I mean would you believe Jade Goody makes the front cover of most of these mags at least once a fortnight. I only know this cuz they are all displayed when i get my petrol at the garage

Celeb Wrestling was 'apparently' down to 2.56m this week, so I expect Mr Pickard will be looking at it sooner rather than later.
I expect we may well see a film or something going out, like they did with the Jurrasic Park trilogy when that Scream programme got pulled earlier in the year. Films seem to arrest the decline.
With renewed interest in Star Wars with the new film coming out, I'm half expecting them to roll out the Star Wars trilogy again.

Wouldnt surprise me, especially since BBC2 is repeating the Hitchikers guide to the galaxy. Didnt ITV show Star Wars at Xmas though-even thats too soon for ITV? Saying that, they might do a 'Star Wars in reverse' season ala the current Bond films just to inject a bit of variety to the films

Ant & Dec failed to beat it too. (And no, it never caught up in its last show, when the final figures were released, the Doc won that night too).

Short of putting Ant n Dec up against it for the full 13 weeks, I doubt theres a show that can compete?

Celebrity Love Island for god sakes it get worse. Who wants to see Sid Owen & Rebecca Loos shag. ITV has moved on from downmarket trash to out and out porn.
I also read an article in which a C4 pleb was gloating about the fact that there may be live sex on Big Brother 428 as some of the sad idiots turned up naked to the auditions! Either find the real thing folks or rent a DVD!
