Always amuses me that. 'Unaware of the existence of a secret house/room/escape hatch/ set of new contestants' ect.

Unless the contestants are already in 'lockdown' and unable to access anything about the show - if one of them reads that, it's not going to be much of a surprise on the grand reveal, is it?

The housemates are already in hiding and have been for about 2 weeks.

The 2nd house has been known about for months though and even if they've avoided those reports it will be bloody obvious when theres a new big building in front of them when they arrive.

Not really. Looking at the photos posted, the new bit is tucked behind the old bit.

It's not, it's right opposite the old interview studio. Though really I can't imagine many housemates being that au fait with the plan of the studio anyway so I'll doubt they'll notice.

Interesting that the audience space looks a lot more built up now and square-like now.

Well they'll be aware of this house. They've got to get into the other house :

Set reminds me of the channel 4 heyday, looks brilliant. Best set that channel 5 has had.

I do like the new net, but I preferred the contestants coming out of the eye and the 'James bond' type door and the eye being rotated to act as a bridge to the doors, also don't see the point of the second set of stairs, they look good, but the stairs nearest the camera will be used more often.

Well apart from when they put an outdoor stage up for BB5 (and used it for about two weeks) and dressed it up for BB11 the C4 set was never much more than a screen and the stairs. Agree though the new set looks great, as does the main house - but was underwhelmed by the second house.

Overall though from tonight despite the promos it's clear that little has changed and it's more "MTV Rejects in a House" than "Big Brother".

Haven't watched Big Brother in years but seen on the Belfast Telegraph website that former BBC Northern Ireland journalist Andy West has entered the Big Brother house. He was suspended by the BBC after saying he was ashamed to work for the broadcaster when it refused to axe Tyson Fury from the Sports Personality of the Year shortlist then quit or sacked depending on what newspaper you read shortly after.

They still do walk through an eye as it is on the LED screen as the doors open.
