On Monday Davina confirmed Celebrity Big Brother would begin on Thursday 5th January, running for three weeks.

Today some surprising new - Big Brother's Little Brother is no more!

In January Dermot O'Leary will host a new C4 breakfast show, Morning Glory. This will be paired with
"Celebrity Big Brother's Little Breakfast" in the 8am hour.

If successful, it's likely Little Breakfast will also accompany the main Big Brother series in May.

Since The Simpsons arrived at C4 BBLB has lost it's 6pm home. For Celebrity Big Brother last year it moved to a late-night slot of 11.05pm, but airing after the main show didn't really work. In the summer it ran at 5.30pm.

Personally I'd like to see it back at 6pm - The Simpsons isn't the ratings banker it was this time last year with episodes getting their third or fourth airing since moving to C4 - and I think it could be sacrificed for three weeks for Celebrity Big Brother, and for three months for Big Brother itself, without too much complaint.

I prefered Little Brother when it was on E4 exclusively - felt like you were getting something 'extra' compared to the C4 viewers.

Many agree with you - and I certainly thought last year it was the best alternative with the 6pm slot taken on C4 - though now The Simpsons turns out to be repeats of repeats of repeats, I think it still has a claim on that slot!

The BBLB replays at 8pm on E4 have got upto 1m viewers in the past - just short of the 1.2m or so it got in it's 5.30pm slot on C4.

BBLB certainly hasn't been as good since it moved to C4 - you used to get regular chats with the producers etc. - now that's quite rare!

I thought the best series of BBLB was when there was 30mins on C4, and then 30mins on E4. They'd do the 'serious' stuff (news, interviews) on the C4 show, then do the games and producer chats on E4.

I think this is a bad idea. I can't watch breakfast TV so I guess i'll need to watch the repeat (and i'm sure a few people will be the same). Sad

Very bad idea. I honestly don't mind though if it's just for CBB. But if they decide to do this for the main series next May then I won't like that at all. Shove The Simpsons out, far too much of them on these days, especially since they are the same episodes over and over again, and losing out to BBC Two as well.

'The Simpson's' weekdays at 6pm on CH4 has never pulled in as many viewers as it did on BBC2. How does it do at 9pm on Fridays? I didn't think that would last long tbh. The series they're showing now though weekdays (series 6) is one I always enjoy seeing - the show at it's very best.
