ONE of the most famous matches in the history of British wrestling will soon air on the BBC after it was believed to be lost forever.

The legendary clash between Mick McManus and Jackie Pollo – which is considered this country’s greatest ever wrestling feud – will form part of a BBC4 documentary Timeshift: Wrestling, which looks into the glory days of the British scene.

Timeshift: Wrestling airs on BBC4 on December 13 at 9pm.

Must admit British wrestling, as shown on World Of Sport, knocks spots off the American s***e my nephew watches.

Who wants a soap opera element?

You never saw Big Daddy & Giant Haystacks pontificating behind the scenes before their bout!
