Well, it's been snowing, so what better time to make a snowman?

At 8:00pm this evening, BBC2 gave us another viewing of the snowman christmas ident. In a way, I'm glad it was shown. It was nice to see something which reminded me of last christmas (or should that be the last 3 christmasses!).

In another way, I as a serious ident fan find it quite worring. BBC2 obviously keep the ident for snowy days, so I'm worried that they'll show every Christmas until a rebrand happens.

You're reading too much into it.

They're not going to keep the current idents just because it snows. They'll change them... sometime!

I seem to remember them using a Christmas symbol when it snowed last year as well

(EDIT for typo)

It's not a Christmas symbol, it's a "Winter" symbol.

It occurred to me, during a very, very brief minute of contemplation, that the BBC2 "Ice" symbol is in fact a summer symbol - mainly because the only time I entertain ice cubes is in the summer.

Normally. Cool

I hereby demand it is dug out on the next scorchingly hot day.

If BBC TWO takes this approach of using Snowman when it snows then surely BBC ONE should bring out Snowflake for whenever it snows as well?
