LoveTV!!
Hi,
At 1:00am on Saturday 31st January BBC TWO hand over to BBC News 24 for one hour.
How long have BBC TWO been handing over to News 24 on Saturdays I have never noticed this before.
It's probably because BBC TWO don't want Ceefax on for 1 hour but it's still unusual.
Anyway, just thought you would like to know. See you soon!

Aer you sure about that? Fluffy the Vampire Sprayer is scheduled at 1am and a space in the schedule between 1:40 and 2:00am according to Digiguide which can only mean Ceefax as if it was BBC News 24 it would say...

Also, there is another gap in the schedule at 1:45am-2:00am on the morning of 9th February... so presumably another Ceefax slot..

And viewers in Scotland (or those who can pick up BBC ONE Scotland via NTL or Sky) will get a whole half hour gap on the morning of 3rfd February between 1:25 and 1:55am whilst they wait for the networked Sign Zone programmes - so maybe another Ceefax opportunity there!

I think LoveTV!! actually means Sunday morning (although TV guides will still list it as Saturday), when there is one hour of News 24 at 1am.

Edit: While we're on the subject of News 24 on terrestrial channels, I've noticed that tonight BBC One has two shifts of News 24 with the Australian Open ladies final sandwiched inbetween. I thought they would have found another programme to put on before the tennis.
