BBC2 Idents

That's sick.

I've got a good idea for a Christmas BBC One ident though-the balloon is floating through the air with snow falling down from the sky (2 seconds. Music for first 2 seconds-christmassy version of normal music a bit like the 1999 one)Then a giant computer generated snowman picks it up,bounces it along the ice like a basket ball (3 seconds. Music:a bit like the theme tune to the Harley Globetrotters)and he throws it into an ice-carved 'net'-just as it goes through it 'freeze frames' (apart from the snow) and it zooms into the baloon and stops,and 'BBC One' fades in.

What do you think?

My favs are Powder, Paint Pot, Excalibur, Neon, Ariel, and that rainbow-coloured 'swooshy' one (dunno the name, often used b4 sci-fi shows).

http://www.meldrum.co.uk/mhp has some very good quality images, but doesn't have the more recent ones.

http://www.thetvroom.com is probably the most comprehensive.

Just saw this ident on BBC2 (to introduce The Good Life):

It was brought back for the Chelsea Flower Show in May, but is this the first time it's been used as a general ident since 1997?

My fave is the vampire one where the two jumps out of a grave. They should use that before Buffy me thinks
