And this made it on screen in Northern Ireland? Shocked

NW can either stand for North West (or in this context: NetWork)

IMO it works well for BBC 2 because it doesn't have regions (except the 3 nations) but not for BBC 1

Maybe you should abbreviate 'Network' as 'NET' or 'NTWK' or 'NWK'

Is it really that much of an arduous task to type the word in full?

As I was referring to BBC2 NI, kindly explain to me why you would feel confused. This will be interesting.

Well it's not just me, NW to many people on here means North West.

Answer the question, without deviating. Or perhaps you can't.

BBC2 NI, people know you're referring to Northern Ireland. Mention 'NW' immediately makes people think of BBC North West not Network. Look at the previous replies when you've done that.

There's no confusion by calling channels B1 or I3, but we still don't do it.

My original post:
"What's happened to 2 NI today? They're taking the NW feed. "

It is self explanatory. I'm done with your nonsense.

Wow... wasn't that fun boys and girls. Shall we get back on topic now.

NW is totally a compass reference in my book
