BBC Two 2018 Revamp

I just happened to catch that and wasn't sure if it was new. Here it is

Another winner for the Curve series.
At first this reminded me of darts, then music (the strings) and then The Weakest Link oddly enough.

It looks pretty cool and somewhat sporty with the camera action.

Well done Inspector! I love how dynamic it is. I think this might be the first time we've seen a hint of a new ident in a trailer then get blindsided by two completely different new idents!

The stills remind me of the old 90s BBC Sport logo.

Doesn't this one break the style slightly in two regards - firstly the curve is far bolder, but secondly it doesn't really break down and form up in the way the other idents too.

You're right - and it's why I'm not really liking it.

I like the fact that Maverick has been trailed for weeks and in the meantime we get two new idents. Such a versatile idea, and this one is quite different as it's the camera that moves.


As an FYI there's no need to download the file from TV Home and re-upload - you can embed it with just the video URL.

Just get an arrow with a line through.

Yeah, its the wobble that kind of puts me off.

That's "Intense".

Feels perfect for sport, even more than some of the ones they've been using for sport.

There is so much detail in this ident as well. The textures on the curves, the lighting of the lines, the specks of dust floating around. Very nice.


I thought exactly the same thing. Looking out for one ident then getting surprised by two others is quite exciting for us Pres lovers!

It once again shows how versatile the curve is for idents.
