Just a tad inappropriate. Also including it being introduced as a 'quick' news update which looks set to last for 30 minutes.

Remember, in this timeline flabby arses walking into the sea is deemed News appropriate too.

Well that looks like it was programmes into a computerised running order that thought Insert Name Here was on! OOF!

That must be the case because a few days ago after New Year's Day on a weekday, morning films were introduced with the idents that normally introduced the morning news block. Actually I don't know if that's the case but I'm assuming it is.

Good job it wasn't a news bulletin that was talking about a bombing or something else serious. They'll know better next time.

Why couldn't the network change the ident? Scotland did.

Which one did Scotland use?

Exactly. We’ve seen worse.

The fact that the schedule is played from a computer is irrelevant, what is in that schedule is still decided by a human.

As I say it would have been a very busy time in playout with lots of things being decided and changed, I'm not surprised it was missed

Oh trust me, there are dozens of humans - the schedule is only doing what it's told.

Do you think the BBC received any complaints about the inappropriate Fluffy BBC2 ident that played before the "quick" BBC News Special last night?

It's Mrs Markymark's favourite BBC 2 ident, she titters whenever it comes on

If anyone actually did contact the BBC to complain about that, they probably need to reassess their priorities in life.

Trust me, those people exist. If we can be pedantic about presentation, so can many others who aren't on these kind of websites but do have Ofcom and other TV companies on their speed dial.

I assumed that once they looked at the line up of programmes for the day, which idents would be used were decided and ready to go at the touch of a button. Might explain why they hadn't changed fluffy to a more serious ident when Insert Name Here was dropped. Mind you, with Brexit turning into a never ending farce, BBC2 might as well use the funny idents before all Brexit programming! Very Happy
