I'm actually more intrigued to see the relationship between the design agencies and the BBC on this one, given how readily many of the new idents have been put out by the agencies first on their social media accounts rather than by the Beeb. In every agency I've ever worked in, if we were to release any client work publicly before the client had done so, we'd be pretty swiftly sacked and that's with some much smaller clients. The fact it seems to have been the norm for this rebrand for them to be put online in portfolios before they've actually been broadcast officially makes me wonder if this is part of some special agreement in place to keep costs down, as they did mention something during the original press releases about them being cheaper to produce.
It would seem everything on here has mist IDENT 18 the kids ident being used at 7pm...
Well spotted! I was just about to say that I saw Googly Eyes before Celebrity Antiques Road Trip at 7pm. I said that one could be for comedy/light programming and not just for kid's programmes on Saturday mornings.
Oooh, I like that new one.
I could see it being used for something really dramatic. Or maybe for serious programming because of its dark tone and colouring.
