BBC Two 2018 Revamp

Just the generic BBC Weather branding.

It would be quite fitting if it kept the old branding after the 8 o'clock news summary kept the audio from an old ident on BBC One, I guess

I think the 2 opening stopped when MeteoGroup took over.

BBC 2 Northern Ireland now use a sting based on the current BBC 2 branding at the start of regional weather forecasts.

Previously, they had a weather sting which was nothing to do with the BBC 2 branding.

Actually it was... if you looked very carefully. The weather symbols on that sting had the rain drops and sun rays replaced with little 2s.

When and why do they air regional weather forecasts on BBC2?

They can’t - there are no regions on that channel.

BBC Two Northern Ireland... Monday to Friday 8pm and 10pm. It's a legacy really. The weather update started out on BBC Choice Northern Ireland, transferred to BBC Two NI (digital only), and then to BBC Two Northern Ireland (digital and analogue, until analogue closed) and continues to present day... though is no longer billed in TV listings.

BLIMEY! There's a new one! Spotted this on a trailer for 'School'. It's like torn cloth.

It looks quite nice visually. Very colourful.
Who knows, they'll probably show it when School premieres on Two.

Looks just as good as the rest of the first batch of idents.

BBC Two is truly firing on all cylinders with its presentation.
