BBC Two 2018 Revamp

I only had one voice in my head when I read your post, and low and behold, that was the voice.

Very bizarre!

I quite like the Tribble ident - mostly because it reminds me of the cheeky aspect that the old 2's idents tended to have.

There's mixed feelings as I've always loved Lambie-Narn's old ident set - but I was also wondering to myself how much longer the BBC was going to keep going before a new branding package turned up.

The idents still feel living, but it's very alien. It's almost a shame that Doctor Who isn't even on BBC2 as some idents feel perfect for that show. But it is nice to see something new for one of the flagship channels and it's not another Oneness effort. Now I just need a reason to watch BBC 2 again...

Can you update the thread title please so we don't get excited every week.

The one on the left is being used in an Autumn on Two trailer which I saw on Wednesday. We must be seeing it as an ident soon surely? Looking forward to hearing the audio on this one.

Out of the idents used so far it seems that Reflective/Paper Turn, White Wrap and White Lines* are the three newsy idents that will be seen before Newsnight, Newsroom Live, Victoria Derbyshire, Today at Conference etc. Although Reflective/Paper Turn also shows up before other factual programming.

I haven't seen the 'Blocks' ident yet but apparently it's been seen in the nations.

*for the purposes of this post I am using the names as used by TV Whirl

I'm surprised Blocks hasn't been used on Network for factual programmes or drama yet.

These are great animations, the music is perfect as well. Still miss the '2' but this is a great ident package. Especially as the curve and 'BBC TWO' are fixed so they move seamlessly from idents to trailers.

Superunion have no idea what the names are, so were still on the hunt for the other 8..

Something I noticed about the yet to be seen, what I'd call Magma ident. As the curve is formed by the changing rocks the screen shakes slightly, that's a nice touch.
