Looks good. Will be very sad to see the classic 2's gone though. I was very pleased to see them back, but it's probably time to move on. Personally I'd have looked to have kept the 2 in full view in a new format, but I'll keep an open mind. Either way, they can't be worse than Oneness!

It looks very nice.
Very bold, colourful and simple.
We could have a winner for "Best Idents of 2018" at this rate
Sorry, not feeling these. I'll reserve full judgement until I see them in action but this idea of a severely compromised logo was tried by Channel 4 a couple of years back and it didn't work out that great. Even then, at least the 4 logo officially remained in other media. It seems the 2 has gone entirely. Along with the 4, it must've been the most recognisable UK TV logo on telly. Maybe they should get rid of the BBC blocks next; replace it with some weird cursive text or something.
That shape of the new 2 (set in Reith Sans) reminds me of Yle TV2's logo from 2005 to 2012, which was set in Helvetica. Incidentally, the Finnish channel's logo from 1993 to 2002 looks like the retiring BBC Two logo.
By the way, will the channel's new theme song be titled like, say, "Shape of Two"?
It would have been nice if they kept the 2 symbol and had it appear on the ident under the BBC logo instead of TWO but I guess they just want to get rid of the old and have a new look altogether.
It would seem that after a very long time, finally we
might
have a major channel rebrand with idents that don't come with a contrived, pretentious story behind them, a need to reflect emotions, or on a mission to foster social unity - just great, strong visuals to identify the channel.
I suspect this approach will make BBC Two stand out from the crowd. I hope the rebrand will be so good, it'll shame BBC One into having to pull its socks up, pres-wise.
