What I'd really like to see is the 60secs World countdown!

There was a 38sec one on World yesterday! That's the longest I've ever seen.

It was the final closedown after all - don't the BBC love to have us going! - everything back to normal as from this morning... Awwww Sad

Also remember the countdown that was on BBC Ones actually different from the one used on News 24!
The BBC One version has a BBC News 24 logo in the centre at the bottom, but nothing in the top left hand corner .... the real News 24 countdown doesn't have the large logo but does have the little DOG.

n24 was still running their trailers while bbc one were counting down. so news24 joined the countdown late! odd!

Nice to see BBC ONE England making the effort then but Scotland spoilt the party!
Well, it really depends who's on duty at the time.. I know a CA at Glasgow who is a bit of an anorak himself, so would probably put in as much of the countdown as possible, and time it properly Smile
(I've not spotted him on BBC 1 for a while, he's usually on BBC 2 or Radio Scotland)

Oh, I thought news 24 had started at 90secs and BBC 1 joined at 84secs.
I thought the big News 24 logo was to show that it was News 24 as it is a long wait or something?http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/confused.gif

BBC One continuity have their own version of the 90-sec countdown if I'm right. The one we (BBC One) saw is a clean version - with the added BBC NEWS 24 at the bottom. The normal N24 one has no logo and the coming up captions.

It's very obvious when the countdown isn't cued up right by BBC One and we cut early into the start of the bulletin. The other night was perfect though - and we got a very short Blackpool ident last night.

Cheers, Asa
