Drama 'Rough Diamond' has been moved into the graveyard slot of 7pm tonight after low ratings

This is to make way for yet another extra episode of Casualty at 8pm

Meanwhile due to football, there is no episode of Waterloo Road on Thursday

This means Waterloo Road has actually taken a 4 week gap off air in the middle of the series! not exactly a good scheduling technique

i think the funniest thing is the early evening regional news this evening being on at 10.35pm. not so early.

I think it's quite a good time for it, at least we're spared all those useless phone reports from football grounds.

And its not going to get much better ratings putting it up against the soaps on ITV1 is it.

Too much Casualty , too many pointless dramas, what is going on with BBC1? At present the only programmes worth watching on Sunday nights are the news and Songs of Praise !

I was just about to settle down to a repeat of Extras when a BBC1 West ident just popped up and we get Close Up West with Josie D'Arby talking about the Slave Trade. BBC West seem to have this habit of opting out of the Network at strange times.

More messing about with the schedule this evening so they could show the Spurs/Chelsea match - and shock horror, they cancelled Eastenders! If only they could do that every time!

The departure of Harry has, as I feared, led to Casualty returning to the critical list. For the last 18 months the show had been enjoying a strong period with storylines as good as anything from its early years (and managing to do so despite much longer runs). Then one pivotal character goes and the whole thing falls apart again.

From strong storylines about medics vs management and NHS internal politics we have now returned to in-depth studies of characters' love lives and a laughable storyline involving a psychic. And this Stretch guy - don't get me started on him.

Peter O'Brien should get back into his RFDS (reference to the Flyinf Doctors if you didn't know) plane and get back to his roots - Neighbours!!!!

Don't be silly, James, they never CANCEL EastEnders.

Monday's has moved to Tuesday, Tuesday's has moved to Thursday 7.30pm, Thursday's 7.30pm has moved to Thursday 8.00pm.

It's Waterloo Road that's suffered in the end, as there's an extra DIY SOS to fill the 8.30pm gap on Thursday.

Only taken a few weeks then for their commitment to Panorama to end!

Would have made more sense to slot the extra EastEnders in on the Wednesday.
