I spoke to the Science Museum about it last week, having checked that it wasn't nicked! They tell me that they already have one (I must admit I didn't see it when I was last there) which they are sending tot he National Museum of Film and Television in Bradford next month.

There is a group of enthsiasts clubbing together to buy it for a museum.

According to the BBC's Intranet site the device is legit - it was obtained by a member of staff as 'redundant plant' several years ago
